Welcome to My Crafting Channel Good morning everyone. Well after nearly 3 years I decided I could not go any longer without a cutting machine that is capable of cutting something thicker than card stock. I waited to see the final products that Silhouette and Cricut was coming out with. The Crciut WON out over the Silhouette. Silhouette did address the issue of not being able to cut through thicker materials, but they did it with some weird way of having to add shim like materials to the mat and they also shrank the mat size.  I will hold off on buying a new Silhouette until mine breaks down and or they come out with something better than what I already have. I was very thrilled to find that I did not loose use of all my Cricut cartridges that I had bought (and sold last year) which was well over 200. Since I had linked them to the Crciut Craftroom they are automatically now in the Crciut Design space. YEA!!! I'm very excited to have the benefits of both machines. I now...

It time for another "Special Challenge - Cutting Fabric with your Silhouette" over at Silhouette Challenges. For this challenge I created this adorable card. The flowers are fabric which was cut out on the Silhouette.  I decided to use the Wonder Under for this project. Then positioned on the mat. Since the floral print was not doubled sided I cut 2 sets, mirroring one set. This allowed me to iron the front and back of each flower together where it would have the print on both sides. Since I had used the Wonder Under I used the Thick Fabric Setting. Used the recommended blade setting. I did slow the speed to 3. I also did a double cut. Below is how it looked when it finished cutting. This really was VERY easy. I do recommend that you have a very sticky mat and that you make sure you iron the Wonder Under on very well. For this challenge I created this cute Shaped Snail Card by making a copy of the snail and welding the 2 of them together at the top. Then adhering the 3rd to the front. Added the elements. Good morning everyone. Things have been very busy in my craft room. I'm trying very hard to get all my challenge project completed and post ready through September.
