Heaven Came Calling Monday

Welcome to My Crafting Channel

It is with a very heavy and saddened heart that I share this with you this morning.  As many of you know our little Angel Tinkerbelle a beautiful little Maltese nearly died last year. She was so sick that we schedule for the vet to come to our home and assist us in turning her over to GOD! The morning it was supposed to happen she woke up, was running around and acting like all was well. We made the decision to cancel, knowing in our hearts she was not ready.

Last week she began to not feel well again. Each day it got worse. By Saturday we knew it was time. We called and scheduled it again. The soonest they could do the home euthanizing was Tuesday. Saturday and Sunday I spent the entire day holding and loving on her. Monday she really took a turn for the worse and I could not bear to see her in this condition and knew we could not wait another day. Called the vet and took her in. She was ready this time. I could see in her eyes that she was telling me it was time. She missed her 16th birthday by 36 days.

GOD allowed her to be our Angel and bring into our home love and joy that is un-describable for the past 16 years. We have now returned her to him.  She has gone home to play with all the other little angels that returned home before her and to be there to welcome those back home that will follow her.

Monday and Tuesday I was not sure I would make it through. Yesterday was a little better and today a little more. I have to keep telling myself that she is in a better place and remember all the joy and love she gave in her 16 short years.

I will be spending today visiting all you blogs, getting caught up on commenting and getting some post scheduled for projects that have been made for some time. I hope this will keep me busy and my mind on something else.

Thanks for letting me share this heartbreaking time in my families life.

  1. Aw how sad Nana - I can feel that loss you are going through. It's funny how pets become like part of a human family. Especially when they do understand when you talk to them but they can't answer back in their doggy or meow talk. I'm so sorry, I know another one will never replace her especially the bond she had with you all, but in time you might re-consider getting another companionship it may help out a bit. Take care!

  4. Oh, I am so, so sorry for your loss, Nana. It's amazing the joy that pets bring to our lives. I lost my sweet Dakota almost ten years ago and I still haven't been able to get another dog. But the pain does lessen over time. I'd had him for 15 years and it wasn't nearly enough. My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend as you endure this. Sending lots of hugs to you.
